Fraser Hill.

8.39 am. it's still early to start for work now. so, i guess this is the only time i can update my blog since the wireless connectivity is kind of slow.

anyway, i was very tied up with work last week. i've been pulled out from my methanol project to join the Oil Condition Monitoring team. so, lots of new things to catch up just to be in the team. which also means, im no longer sitting in the lab monitoring the reactors but im going into the field. *yeay!* first task was simple - design a brochure for the team. the first template was done, so i need to work out for the second one.

despite the workload, i never want my weekends to be burst out. since Monday was a public holiday, Chris and George called us up on Friday midnight, and told us to get ready on Saturday for a trip to Fraser's Hill. and yeah, i spent my holidays there.

all of us were so excited about the trip that none of us brought a camera. dumb, i know. but again, my camera is spoilt and i need to get a new one. since there will be no pictures to tell a thousand words, i guess i have to use some real thousand words to share my experience.

we took off from kL at about 2.30pm on Saturday. traffic on the road was quite busy as everyone is heading for their hometown. we took the old road through Batu Caves and i was awed to see some huge statues of the Hindu gods and goddesses. no wonder Batu Caves was popular. then we took the road to Kuala Kubu Bharu and head to Ulu Yam. we stopped by at a Buddhist monastery and the place was really beautiful. full of nature and i could feel the spiritual sense around the area. the place was so quite as it was off the road. we spent half an hour or so there before heading to Fraser's.

and yes, Fraser's was superb. eventhough there were not much activities that can be done there, but i seriously LOVE the weather, the chill factor, the people (minus the stupid kL morons who were there, that's another story later on), the surrounding nature and the apartment that we were in. it was Chris' apartment, a duplex. there are 3 rooms in the apartment - 2 on the ground floor and one huge master bedroom upstairs. the apartment and the surroundings made me feel like im in a four seasons country. i was given the master bedroom and boy, it is a master. there's a sliding door opposite my bed, which heads to the upper balcony from where i could see the hills. the view was fantastic. urgh! how i wish i've bought a camera before going there. while we were at the hills, we saw lots of monkeys of different types. and we saw wild boars hoaging for McBin. that's Chris' new word of the day as he imagined the wild boars having a fast food restaurant at the dump instead of grubbing the ground for critters.

during my stay there, i was annoyed by some idiotic city morons. we called them the concrete-jungle monkeys. they really spoiled the nature and act worse than real monkeys:

1. when they drive around the sharp, blind-spot corners and curves as they go up or down the hill, they never honk to let the other side knows that they're coming around the corners. what's worse - they speed up.

2. it's totally not wrong to have a party, but it's totally wrong to act like a total jakun. imagine a monkey being jakun, shrieking loudly when receiving something that amuses it. no, these idiots don't act that way. they acted worse. i bet the jungle monkeys are sitting on the treetop watching them with a surprised look on their faces. they'll be thinking "we thought we were bad, but these humans from the city are worse."

3. there's Jeriau waterfalls at Fraser's. you see, when you wanted to have a picnic at the waterfalls, f*cking throw your rubbish in the trash bin - not just leave them there you idiot f*cks. seriously, are you all not educated enough to know that?

4. and when you bathe in the waterfalls, don't f*cking use shampoos, conditioners or whatsoever chemicals in the water. you're basically polluting it. don't you pollute enough when you're in the city?

i really wanted to tell these idiots off. they have done enough pollution in the city, and now they're trying to pollute the leftover nature. seriously, not educated enough to be called smart.

in a nutshell, i enjoyed my holidays in Fraser's. on the way downhill, we took another road that goes into Raub. we went to eat really organic and delicious food somewhere in a village near Janda Baik and passed by Bukit Tinggi. we exited in Gombak and *sigh* we're back in kL.

last night, we planned for another trip to Fraser's. maybe this weekend. or maybe at the end of the month. hopefully, someone brings the camera this time.

ok.back to work!
