Happy Belated Valentine's Day.
oh oh, and happy belated to 2 of my friends, Kaszman and Mimin. sorry for the late wish, i was pretty occupied lately till i can't even blog properly, if any of you've noticed.
anyway, how's Valentine's for all of you? im guessing some were great, some just don't give a fuss bout it. i didn't celebrate it either cause me and Hubby had the same thought of this matter : everyday should be Valentine's Day. right, Patt?
i didn't do much last weekends. i hung out with some of Hubby's old friends. it was nice to see them, even nicer when they still remember me and acknowledged me as Hubby's significant other. yeah, some people just don't like it to see us together - that's normal i guess. then evening, we went to pay a visit to our old housemates back in the guesthouse.
which also got my head struck with one thing - i have just noticed (yeap, just as in a few seconds ago) that i hang out more with the elderly lately. i mean, people who are old enough to be called as uncles and aunties - some i can even addressed as grandparents. every weekend, me and Hubby will look forward to visiting our elderly friends. and yes, most of them are not from Malaysia. Chris is from Singapore (or UK cause he stayed there more), George and Rani are from India, Regha whom we just knew and met last weekend was from Zurich, Juerg from Switzerland, and lots of others more.
now, wouldn't it be weird for a 22 years old lady to hang around with elders whom are at least twice of her age?
but no doubt, i really enjoy their company and so are they. truth to be told, i enjoy hanging out with them more than i am with my peers. listening to their life experiences, sharing problems and stories, jokes of all kinds (yeap, including dirty ones) and going around places. we gained lots of knowledge from them too. i can tell they are happy to have us cause somehow, we reminded them bout how they were in their younger times. especially George and Rani - they adore the relationship between me and Hubby. sweet, i know. these elders do give us lots of advices too. lots of tips and hints how to get through life in a less hard way. and what's best is that they support us, and care for us like we're a part of their family.
i somehow feel safe with these old folks.
feel secure.
less to worry.
and they make me feel like the world isn't that bad at all.
Chris even enquired us whether we could take 2 weeks holiday off work - he wanted to drag us for a 2 weeks vacation in Fraser Hill. he will drive there and let us stay with him in his apartment there. too bad we had to turn down his offer cause it's impossible for us to take even a day off work. not to mention 2 weeks. The Boss will just go mad without us helping her running the show.
oh crap! it's going to rain, again. i think i better make a move now. im tired, and i needed a good rest after a hard-day's work.
later!
